MAS445   Mathematics (Numerical Methods and Vector Spaces)   (10 credits)

Description

This module is made up of two completely separate components (i) vector spaces and (ii) numerical methods. (i) This part of the module presents the mathematical techniques needed to solve data compression problems, i.e. information transmission with limited bandwidth. (ii) The numerical solution of partial differential equations, arising in engineering, is developed.
